Encaustic Painting
Fire up your imagination with hot wax and learn fundamental techniques to produce an encaustic painting. All skill levels will be able to accomplish these techniques and there is no limit to what you can produce. The innate nature of working with wax allows for the building of surface textures and color mixing that works its magic when heat is applied. This medium also affords both subtractive (scraping, carving) and additive methods (pouring and cold wax layering) or working with wax.
